our mission
The mission of Sea Turtle Specialists, a dynamic 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Palm Beach County, Florida, is to provide specialized care for sick and injured sea turtles, while promoting conservation awareness and action.
Our Vision
Recognizing the pressing demand for sea turtle rehabilitation care that surpasses the existing permitted facilities and individuals, we aspire to provide an essential solution that meets the urgent and ever-growing sea turtle conservation need in this region. Our vision is to establish a sea turtle rehabilitation center along the southeast coastline of Florida, primarily serving the coastal counties of northern Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach, and Martin.
100+ years
of combined expertise
In just one year, we’ve established a foundation for lasting impact, directly enhancing sea turtle lives. Our dedicated team, with over 100 years of combined expertise, is fueled by passion.
Dive Deeper into ocean education
Our current education programs are tailored for professionals who share our commitment to safeguarding these amazing creatures. Together, we can advance the science and practice of sea turtle medicine and care.
Adopt a Patient
When you symbolically adopt our sea turtle hatchlings, you become part of their recovery story. Your support helps fund medical treatments, diagnostic testing, medications, and specialized care provided to injured and ill sea turtles’ babies at our hospital. STS treats every turtle with the goal of successful rehabilitation and release back into the wild.
